About art class:
My goal is to teach Cornwall students an appreciation for the visual arts. In art class, students will be experimenting with various media and genres, as well as learning about different artists, styles and cultures. There will be a cultural study each year followed by an art show and either an Art Night, or an Art in our School Day. Students will be learning Art Criticism, Art History, Aesthetics, as well as Studio Production. I strive to give students a fun, meaningful experience that will lead to a life-long appreciation for the arts.
Every other year Cornwall hosts an Art Night, and parents have the opportunity to visit the Cornwall Art Show after school hours. On the in-between years, Cornwall holds an Art in our School Day, where various presenters and activities are planned for the students throughout the school day. This is made possible with funds received by our Cornwall PTO. Thank You PTO!!!

About me:
My Background: I am a Cedar Crest graduate! After high school, I studied fine art at PSA&D. After graduating Art School, I attended LVC, where I received my BA , with an individualized major in fine art. After that, I worked several jobs including a photography studio, cake decorating, and a jewelry shop. Then, I decided what I really wanted to do is teach! So, I went to Millersville, where I earned my teaching certificate and my MED. I am currently enrolled in Marywood University, earning my PhD!
My Teaching Career: I have been teaching in the CLSD for 22 years. I have taught high school, middle school, alternative education and elementary art within our district. I have been at Cornwall Elementary for 16 years. I am a practicing fine artist. My media of choice is oil paint. I have had several shared and solo shows within Lebanon County. I have also been selected to participate in the LVC juried exhibition, as well. I have taught various workshops in the community for both children and adults.
When I am not teaching or painting, you might find me in yoga class or in my garden! I have three children and a big furry one! My youngest set of twins are graduating this year from Cedar Crest--YEA!!!!!
